Liberia Needs Our Help Now More Than Ever

In this second edition of our newsletter, the Rural Liberian Healthcare and Development Initiative (RLHDI) would like to share with you some historical highlights of Liberia, our vision for the children of Liberia, and the efforts being pursued by our organization to help make their lives better.

Extreme poverty is all too familiar to many people across the world. Today, Liberia is one of the poorest countries in the world. Much of the population relies on the goodwill of others to restore basic social services.

According to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), 56% of the population of Liberia lives in rural areas. Rural dwellers (86%) are poor. You will be amazed how a small amount of your time and resources could change and benefit the lives of many people who live in these conditions.
